Verified purchase“Perect for deadlifts and squats at home as it enables you to lift from a raised hieght from the floor for deadlifts (much safer), rather than directly from the ground, and the weight isn't limited to the amount you can power clean to your shoulders and put down again safely for squats. And you can add up to 250KG - that's amazing. It also enables you to keep your hinge more upright due to the centrally aligned centre of gravity, and allows you to activate the lats more in both exercises (just by pushing your arms back - the bar no longer limits this), helping to take strain off of the lower back and avoid dangerous butwink (curvature of the lower spine) at the bottom of squat motions. I'm 6 foot and it allows me to go to a box squat; if you want deeper you can simply stand on a raised surface or slant board. Excellent bit of kit both for functionality and home safety.It uses standard 1 inch weights as the default and has included sleeves you can slide on to enable it to use Olympic 2 inch weights. This was the main selling point for me as most other bars of this kind only take Olympic 2 inch weights. It also comes with 2 thick rubber spacers to ensure there is distance between the grip bar and the added wieght plates.Only odd thing was it requires 2 spanners to put it together (it's basicaly 8 bolts, 8 nuts, and 16 washers that connect the 6 pieces of metal into one strudy frame) ... but it comes with a small allen key? Fortunately I had 2 adjustable spanners in the loft - but if you haven't you'll need to buy those as well. The other thing to note about the construction is, there 8 bolts - but 4 are shorter than the other 4. The shorter bolts are the outside ones, and the longer the inside ones, for reasons that will become apparent as it goes together. I didn't check this at the start and wasted a lot of time having to put them in the correct places again. It may or may not have indicated this in the instruction manual, I have no idea - I'm a bloke, I didn't read them!It is quite large when all together as a solid frame, so check the dimensions and that you have the space to store it before buying. Other than that, it is a thouroughly excellent piece of kit. Highly recommended.”
