Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The C960 is the most reviewed webcam in this ranking by a huge margin, and the listing is a straightforward budget proposition: 1080p at a 90 degree field of view with fixed focus, an f/2.8 aperture, dual noise-cancelling microphones, auto low-light correction, a webcam cover and a tripod holder, at 160 grams.
Fixed focus is the compromise to understand: it is set for a subject at roughly desk distance and will not hunt or drift, but it also will not refocus if you hold something up to the lens. At the time of collection it carried 32,270 ratings at 4.2 stars, the largest evidence base here. Everything here comes from the Amazon listing rather than our own testing.
How those 32,270 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.2 stars.
