- #2
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Core 300S is one of two Levoit models in this ranking, and the difference between them is room size rather than features: the listing quotes a CADR of 258 cubic metres per hour for this one, with a laser air quality sensor, HEPA filtration to a 0.03 micrometre particle retention size, a 24 decibel noise figure and 39 watts of draw, at 3 kilograms and 22 by 22 by 36 centimetres.
A laser PM2.5 sensor is what allows the auto mode to react to what is actually in the air rather than to a timer, which is the reason to pick a smart purifier over a dumb one. At the time of collection it carried 23,251 ratings at 4.6 stars. Note that Amazon pools the ratings for the two Levoit models here, so both show the same count. Everything here comes from the Amazon listing rather than our own testing.
How those 23,251 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.6 stars.
