The Airthings View Plus is the only monitor in this ranking that measures radon, and it does it with a passive diffusion chamber and alpha spectrometry: a continuous reading rather than a postal test kit. Alongside it come PM2.5, CO2, VOCs, temperature, humidity and air pressure, all reported to a Wi-Fi app with smart-home support.
It is fourth because of its complaint rate. 4.1 stars from 1,895 ratings sounds solid until you see that 14 per cent of them are one-star, the highest rate collected here — usually about pairing and battery rather than the sensors. If radon is why you are shopping, this is the one; if it is not, the Aranet4 and the Temtop monitors do the rest better.

Does it really measure radon?
Yes. The listing describes a passive diffusion chamber with alpha spectrometry, which is a genuine continuous radon measurement rather than an estimate.
Do I need a radon monitor?
It depends where you live. Radon concentrates in Cornwall, Devon and parts of the Midlands, and this is the only monitor here that reports it.
How long until the radon reading is useful?
