Rank #3 in Best Air Quality Monitor 2026: Fewer Numbers, Better Sensors
Temtop Air Quality Monitor LKC1000S+ 2nd, PM2.5 PM10 HCHO TVOC
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
Eight readings in one unit for £129.99: PM2.5, PM10, formaldehyde, TVOC, temperature, humidity and an AQI index, with a 12-hour particle graph and CSV export. The listing says the monitor is tested by the AQMD and that the formaldehyde channel uses a Dart electrochemical sensor, two claims specific enough to be worth something.
The reason it is third rather than higher is the record: 4.1 stars from 579 ratings, of which 11 per cent are one-star, the widest complaint spread among the mid-priced monitors here. Electrochemical sensors drift, and drift is what the complaints describe.
How those 579 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.1 stars.

Questions people ask
What does AQMD tested mean?
The Air Quality Management District is a Californian regulator. The listing describes the unit as tested by it, which speaks to the design rather than to your individual unit.
Does it measure CO2?
No. This model covers particles, formaldehyde and VOCs plus temperature and humidity. The CO2 monitors here are the Aranet4, the Temtop C1 and the SONOFF.
Why would it need recalibrating?
Electrochemical formaldehyde sensors drift over months, which is what the one-star reviews usually describe. Follow the manual for the calibration routine.
What is the AQI number?
A derived index, not a measurement: the monitor converts the raw readings onto a 0-500 scale. The ug/m3 and ppm figures behind it are the ones to read.
Can I export the data?
Yes, the listing describes exporting seven indoor parameters to CSV for analysis.
How many ratings does it have?
579 at the time of collection, averaging 4.1 stars, with 63 per cent five-star and 11 per cent one-star.
