Yaheetech Faux Leather Dining Chairs

Is the Yaheetech Faux Leather Dining Chairs worth buying?

The Yaheetech Faux Leather Dining Chairs are worth buying if you want a padded, high-backed seat for a full table: £119.99 buys four of them, which is £30.00 a chair, and 1,119 owners rate the set 4.4. Each chair takes 135 kg and carries a 10.5 cm thick seat cushion, the deepest padding of the ten sets on this page.

Buy them if the people at your table sit for an hour or more and you would rather not feel a frame under you by dessert. Skip them if your dining room is narrow, because 57 cm of depth and a 92.5 cm back need clear floor behind the chair, or if £17.50 a seat is your ceiling.

What does the 10.5 cm seat cushion actually mean at the table?

It means the foam, not the frame, takes your weight. The seat is filled with 28D high-density foam over a wooden frame, and 10.5 cm of it is deep enough that the composite board underneath never comes through, even at the end of a long Sunday lunch. Yaheetech builds the foam to resist sinking, so the cushion keeps its shape across daily breakfasts and dinners rather than flattening into a pad.

Per seat, the numbers work out at £30.00: £119.99 across four chairs. That is £12.50 more for every place than the mcc direct White Dining Chairs at £17.50 a chair, and £1.67 less a chair than the Amazon Basics Metal set at £31.67. The 135 kg support is 15 kg beyond the mcc direct rating, and as a set the four chairs hold 540 kg between them.

What comes in the box and what are its measurements?

You get four chairs in one delivery, sold as a set of four with their cushions, in black faux leather over a wooden frame. Each chair measures 57 cm deep, 46 cm wide and 92.5 cm tall, with a solid back, a rectangular seat and straight wooden legs. The finish is polished and Yaheetech makes the same chair in other colours if black is not the one you want.

Living with them is straightforward: the faux leather is wear-proof and wipes clean with a damp cloth, so spills from a Sunday roast come off in seconds, and the material keeps its texture instead of going shiny. Yaheetech recommends them for hard floors and indoor use. They do not fold, they do not stack and they do not recline, so the four of them occupy four permanent places around the table.

Where does the Yaheetech fall short?

The height is the main cost. At 92.5 cm the back sits well above the 46 cm seat, and the 57 cm depth pushes the chair further from the table edge than a low-back model, which is fine in a dining room and tight in a galley kitchen. The 4.4 owner rating is also a step below the 4.6 that several cheaper sets here carry, so the extra money buys padding and height rather than a stronger track record.

The price per seat is the second cost. £30.00 a chair is £12.50 more than the mcc direct White four at £17.50 each, for the same number of places and no stacking trick to save space when the table is clear. If storage matters as much as comfort, this is the wrong set to start with.

How does it compare with the Amazon Basics and mcc direct chairs?

Against the Amazon Basics Metal Dining Chairs at £126.69, this set is £6.70 cheaper overall and £1.67 less per chair, with a padded 10.5 cm cushion instead of a bare metal seat. The Amazon Basics chair takes 149.6 kg against 135 kg here, and it stacks into one column, so it wins on toughness and storage while the Yaheetech wins on sitting comfort for a long meal.

Against the mcc direct White Dining Chairs at £69.99, this set costs £50.00 more, or £12.50 more a chair. The mcc direct chair is lighter work, holds 120 kg and puts the seat at a 46 cm height, which suits a standard 72 to 75 cm table on a tight budget. Choose the Yaheetech when you want the tall back and the thick cushion, and the mcc direct four when you want four places for the least money.
