Rank #1 in Best Garage Shelving 2026: 10 Sets Ranked by Load Per Shelf
3-Bay Garage Shelving, 5 Tier, 200kg Per Shelf
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
This is a pack of three blue boltless shelving bays — each 180 cm high, 90 cm wide and 60 cm deep, with five MDF shelves on a powder-coated steel frame — and it takes the top spot in this guide. Its headline numbers are unusual for this category because they agree with each other: five shelves at 200 kg UDL works out at 1,000 kg per bay, and the spec table's "Weight Capacity Maximum" says exactly 1,000 kilograms. What does not sit as neatly is the separate "Weight Capacity" field, which reads "Minimum weight: 200 kg" — the same per-shelf figure written as a minimum, which is not a capacity in any useful sense. The "Item Weight" of 60 kg covers all three bays together, roughly 20 kg a bay, and is nowhere near the 200 kg a single shelf is rated to hold. The star breakdown also stops short of the headline: the listing shows 4.7 from 198 ratings, but the bars underneath add up to 100.
Nothing on this page comes from a load test or from us handling the steel. Every figure — the 200 kg per shelf, the 1,000 kg per bay, the 60 kg item weight, the £133.99 price and the 4.7 from 198 ratings — is transcribed from the Amazon listing, which is also the place where the ratings total and the star bars disagree with each other.
How those 198 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.7 stars.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“These are very easy to assemble and are sturdy. Good value for money I would recommend these shelving units.”
Verified purchase“Received on time in full.Build and install was easily completed by myself, no help needed.Exactly what I wanted, nice and stable when in place.Excellent product for the price. The only inprovement would be a design change on the shelf cross supports, they would be better fit so they sit with the fixing tabs facing downwards. They can come out too easily when moving shelves if the tabs are bent very slightly too far on prep for assy, so they dont hold spring into the slots.”
