The Chicco Pocket Snack is a booster seat rather than a free-standing high chair: it straps onto a full-sized dining chair and takes a child from 6 months to about 3 years. It sits at number two in this guide at £24.90, and it is here for the opposite reason to the Kinderkraft Yummy the guide opens with. Where that listing promises a maximum of 15 kg in the bullet and then says 9 Kilograms in the specification, the Chicco's two figures match: the bullet gives a maximum of 15 kg, and the field Maximum Weight Recommendation says 15 Kilograms. The weight claim matches too — the bullet says "It weighs only 2 kg" and Item Weight says 2 kg. It also carries 14,899 ratings at 4.5 out of 5, more ratings than the 13,542 of the Yummy, the ad singled out as the most reviewed in the guide.

Not everything in the listing is tidy. The Age Range Description field simply says "Baby" while the title and bullets go up to 3 years, and the specification admits Assembly Required: Yes. The last bullet is a genuine restriction rather than a marketing line: it is only to be used with a full sized dining room chair, so the seat is only as stable as the chair you strap it to. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing — its bullets, its specification fields and its rating count. We have not tested the seat ourselves.

What buyers actually say

Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon

Verified purchase

“I wanted a seat that could be used and be safe without taking up the space that a traditional high chair needs. This folds down flat and is easy to store when not being used, we have taken this away with us and are happy that we have a chair that is sturdy, comfortable and safe. I would recommend this booster seat as a main chair for a toddler or a chair that is in a grandparent's house/ take in holiday.”

“Ideal little chair. You can move it around, put it on the floor or attach it to a seat at the dining table. Very strong and sturdy. This is an additional one we've bought. Would definitely recommend. Not bad for the price too especially if you can get it on offer. Easy to clean too which is ideal.”
