The Graco Snack N' Stow is number one in our guide to high chairs. It is a folding high chair with a removable three-position tray, a two-position footrest and a freestanding fold that the listing puts at only 15 cm wide. It costs £39.00 and carries a 4.6 out of 5 rating from 1,475 customer ratings, in the Fruitella colourway.

It takes the top spot because its numbers hold together. The bullet promises "suitable from 6 months to maximum weight of 15 kg" and the specification field underneath says "Maximum Weight Recommendation: 15 Kilograms" — the same figure twice, on a listing where other chairs in this guide disagree with themselves by 6 kg. The one gap here is much smaller: the title and bullet call it "lightweight at only 5.4 kg" while the Item Weight field reads 5.48 kg, 80 g more. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing for this Graco model rather than from our own testing, so the figures are the manufacturer's claims, not our measurements.

What buyers actually say

Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon

“I've had this chair for over 2 years now and not had one problem with it. It's impressively lightweight, making it a breeze to carry between rooms or take on trips. The freestanding fold is a clever feature that lets it stand upright when folded, saving floor space and making storage a lot easier, perfect for compact living areas. In use, it's practical and functional. The snack tray is a decent size and easy to remove for cleanup, and the harness keeps my little one secure. The compact footprint means it fits neatly around the kitchen table without getting in the way. The only reason I didn't go all the way to five stars is that the padding is a bit thin and personally, I'd prefer a slightly sturdier tray latch. Still, for everyday use or travel, this highchair hits the sweet spot between convenience and comfort.”

“I bought this chair after viewing many other chairs. This is a very good size for my 7 months baby and it could be used for at least 2 more years I believe. It's lightweight and easy to move it around while its steadiness is highly impressive. It's really safe for my baby with the locking system and the way it's made. Also, you can easily remove the fabric and wash it. I love the height because it's easy to feed your baby at dining table while you're sitting and having your own meal (babies show much interest in eating if they see you're eating together). The price is very reasonable and I highly recommend it.”
