The Mexllex LED Strip Lights 30m is a 30-metre RGB tape kit with app and remote control, a built-in microphone and a 24V adapter, sold at £14.99. It sits at number 8 in this guide. Across the listings we compared, the wattage field is the one figure you can check before you buy, and this one is the clearest illustration of why: thirty metres of strip quoted at 12 watts.
Mexllex's own listings make the point better than we can. Its 10M strip is quoted at 60W and its 5m RGB strip at 1.61W, so the 30m kit claims five times the tape for a fifth of the power of the 10m. Twelve watts spread over 30 metres works out at 0.4W per metre; the 10m listing works out at 6W per metre. There is a second contradiction in the same listing: the product name says (2x15), but the first bullet says stock is dispatched at random between a two-15-metre-roll version and a single-30-metre-roll version, so the (2x15) in the title is not a promise.
