Rank #9 in Best SDS Drill 2026: 10 Ranked, and Why the Amps Don't Add Up
DEWALT D25033K 710W SDS-Plus 3-Mode Hammer Drill
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The DeWalt D25033K-GB is the ninth drill in our best SDS guide: a corded SDS Plus three-mode hammer drill, 710 watts at 240 volts, £109.99, rated 4.6 out of 5 from 228 ratings. It is the entry where the usual check cannot be run at all — the listing gives volts and watts but never an amperage, so there is no volts-against-watts sum to make and no contradiction of that kind to expose. On wattage alone it sits below the 1,500 W Enventor and 1,600 W Scheppach claims quoted elsewhere in the same guide.
What the DeWalt listing does contradict is itself in smaller ways. The bullet points give "Impact strength: 2.0 joules"; the specification table gives "Maximum Torque: 2 Newton Meters" — the same 2.0 in two different units, on a machine where 2 Nm of torque would mean very little. The name says three modes while the table says "Number of Speeds: 3", and the title calls 22 mm a capacity while the table calls the same 22 mm a chuck size. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from a test we ran.
How those 228 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.6 stars.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“Bought a Bosch professional hammer drill (£100) to do those do it yourself stuff - but at times it just didn't do the job for example - when trying to put curtain tracks up into a concrete RSJ.So bought this Dewalt ... why didn't I do it before ???It's got a dial to change from hammer to SDS.On SDS it made short work of the holes for the curtain tracks. With a graded trigger you can starts slow and really get accurate hole locations.Be careful - on full power it can be an aggressive SDS drill and the hole will be much deeper than it should be 🙄Its heavier and bigger than a standard hammer drill but don't be put off. It's light enough to use and has enough power with 2-j power for all household jobs and more. For just over £100 it's great vfm compared with a hammer drill.I would recommend buying good SDS drill bits - £20 gets a reasonable selection with both long and short shafts. Not used the Bosch since I have had this ... probably put it on eBay now 😃”
Verified purchase“Very easy to install the drill bits, powerful and a great weight. My previous sds drill felt over powerful and heavy - this one is perfect”
