Rank #2 in Best Table Saw 2026: 10 Ranked, and Three Wattage Claims That Don't Add Up
Evolution R255TBLX+ Table Saw with Wheeled Stand
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Evolution Power Tools R255TBLX+ is the wheeled-stand version of the company's 255 mm multi-material table saw, and it takes second place in this guide. At £417.97 it is the dearest of the three Evolution 255 mm listings here: the same saw is listed at £379.98 without the stand and at £294.78 in its 1,650 W form, which puts the wheeled stand at £37.99 of the £123.19 between the cheapest and the dearest.
That gap is easier to read than some of the wattage claims elsewhere in this guide. The R255TBLX+ is one of the listings whose own numbers hold together — 1800 W appears in the title, in the bullet points and in the specification table's Wattage field, and the Voltage field reads 240 volts. Two smaller things in the same listing line up less neatly. Its star breakdown runs 2, 3, 1, 6 and 88 across one to five stars, which totals 100 against the 121 ratings the listing reports; and the title advertises a 45° bevel and a ±60° mitre while the specification table's Cutting Angle field simply reads "90 Degrees". Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon product page as written, not from a saw we bought and tested.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“Brilliant.Had this a good while now and it's been great for putting the saw away in the corner of the shop when not on use (ok, it needs a large corner, but then the saw is quite big).A little tricky to assemble, but one together, ideal.”
Verified purchase“Always wanted one of this but put off for years due to the expense. After research I decided on this. It takes a while to put it together and the manual could be better but with a bit of thought good enough. It moves around well on the stand and is very stable. I have only used it for wood so far but it cuts really well. It has already saved me an impressive amount of time. There is a huge amount of dust produced so you will need to connect it up to a vacuum. If you buy the Evolution one you will also have to purchase an adapter later. Perhaps consider buying a bundle which includes one first as last I am pleased with it and it was a good purchase.”

Questions people ask
Is the 1800 W figure reliable?
It is the one power number in this listing that does not move. The Evolution R255TBLX+ is described as 1800 W in the product title, in the bullet points and in the specification table's Wattage field, with the Voltage field reading 240 volts.
What does the wheeled stand add to the price?
This saw is listed at £417.97. The same 255 mm Evolution saw appears at £379.98 without the stand, so the tubular steel all-terrain wheeled support accounts for £37.99 of the £123.19 between the cheapest version (£294.78, the 1,650 W one) and this one.
What can the Evolution R255TBLX+ cut?
The listing describes multi-material cutting with the included 28T tungsten carbide tipped blade: steel, aluminium, new or reclaimed wood with nails, and plastic.
How big and heavy is it?
The listing gives 105 x 75 x 94 cm (L x W x H) and a weight of 28.5 kg. Both figures are worth checking against your workshop or storage space before ordering.
Does it come with a warranty?
The bullet points promise Evolution's 3 year warranty for the R255TBLX+, and the warranty field reads "3 Year Warranty". Note the warranty bullet names the R255TBL, while the model number field reads R255TBLX+.
How is it rated?
4.7 out of 5 from 121 ratings. The star breakdown the listing shows is 2 one-star, 3 two-star, 1 three-star, 6 four-star and 88 five-star — that mix averages out at 4.75, but the bars total 100, not 121.
