Rank #9 in Best Filter Coffee Machine 2026: 10 Ranked, Three That Contradict Themselves
Melitta Aromaboy Filter Coffee Machine, 2-Cup
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Melitta Aromaboy is a small filter coffee machine, and the listing mostly agrees with itself about that: the bullets describe a filter machine with a removable filter holder and a glass jug, the filter size is given as #2, and the coffee input is ground coffee. One field does not agree — the Coffee Maker Type box reads "Espresso Machine". It sits at #9 in this guide at £32.46, with 4.4 stars from 4,327 ratings.
The second disagreement is the one that could actually stop you brewing. The Voltage field on the specification table reads 110, and nothing else on the page repeats or corrects that number. If you are buying in Britain, that is a figure to settle with the seller before you order, because a 110V appliance and a British kitchen socket are not the same conversation. The other number worth weighing is capacity: the bullet says "Makes 2 cups of coffee at a time" while the Capacity field says 0.31 litres, which is about one large mug — and several of the 4,327 buyers describe getting exactly one mug out of it.
Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing — the bullets, the specification table, the price and the review counts — and not from any test we ran ourselves.

An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.4 stars.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“I bought this coffee machine just over 2 months ago and wanted to use it for a while so I could give an honest review.First thing to note is that it is little. The blurb suggests it makes two cups of coffee but in my reality this is one larger mug. This was exactly what I wanted because I drink one mug of CBD coffee per day and this is perfect. You need to use paper filters and they only had the standard 1 x 4 pack in the supermarket. I just cut off about an inch from the top and they fit fine, but ideally you need the Mellita 100/40 filters for a perfect fit I believe (I've not tried them yet).It produces the finished coffee pretty quickly and you can leave it on the warming plate for up to 40 minutes before it switches off automatically. It hardly takes up any space, is very easy to clean and it 'blubs' but only for a minute or so. It's reasonably robust too, but just be careful that you don't knock the little tank cover when it's raised. In summary it's great for a single person or someone who drinks the odd cup of filter coffee. I'm really pleased with my purchase and love it so much I think I'm going to be sad and give it a name!”
Verified purchase“This is a fab little coffee filter machine. I stumbled across it after a google search. It says it makes 2 cups but it is really only 1 mug. However, that's perfect if, like me, you only want one cup. It is seriously tiny but makes a great cup of coffee and hotter than some of the bigger filter machines I've had in the past. Great value.”

Questions people ask
Does the Melitta Aromaboy really make two cups?
The bullet says "Makes 2 cups of coffee at a time", but the Capacity field on the same page gives 0.31 litres, which is roughly one large mug. Buyers back the smaller figure.
What voltage does the Melitta Aromaboy run on?
The specification table lists Voltage as 110, with no other voltage figure anywhere on the listing. Confirm with the seller before ordering if you intend to plug it into a standard British socket.
Is it a filter machine or an espresso machine?
The listing name, the ground-coffee input, the #2 filter size and the removable filter holder all describe a filter coffee machine. The Coffee Maker Type field nevertheless reads "Espresso Machine".
How do you clean the Melitta Aromaboy?
The bullets say the removable filter holder and the glass jug are dishwasher safe, and the specification field "Is the item dishwasher safe?" answers Yes. The machine also switches off automatically 40 minutes after brewing.
What filters does the Melitta Aromaboy use?
The specification table gives a filter size of #2 and a Filter Type of "Reusable", and the special-features field mentions a reusable filter. At least one buyer comments on needing paper filters, so it is worth checking which filter you are expected to buy.
What is included with the Melitta Aromaboy?
The final bullet lists the contents as one Melitta Filter Coffee Machine, Aromaboy Model, Stainless Steel, Black, Art.No. 6707286. The specification table gives Number of Items and Unit Count as 1.
What are the dimensions and weight?
