Rank #6 in Best Saucepan Sets 2026: 10 Ranked by What's in the Box
Kitchen Academy 12-Piece Nonstick Cookware Set, Grey
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Kitchen Academy 12 Pieces Nonstick Pots and Pans Set sits sixth in this guide at £98.99, rated 4.6 out of 5 from 389 ratings. The contents list behind the '12' is two frying pans (20cm and 28cm), a 1.5QT saucepan, 3QT and 5QT casseroles and a deep fry pan — six cooking vessels — plus four lids and two silicone tools. Six pans, not twelve.
What makes this listing easier to read than most on the list is that Kitchen Academy does not contradict itself on the count: Number of Pieces reads 12, Number of Items reads 12, and Included Components names the same six pans and two tools. The gaps are elsewhere. No weight is published anywhere, which matters because the 4.6 average includes a return over how heavy the pans are, and the three lidded pans are sized in quarts, not litres. Every figure on this page is taken from the Amazon listing as it stands, not from any testing we have carried out.

An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.6 stars.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“Love these pans. Really good quality and easy to clean. Look lovely and match our kitchen colour scheme so the set are out on display. Great price for the quality of the set. I recently bought a pink set on a different site, waste of money and caused smoke and were dangerous. The whole lot went in the bin after attempting to boil an egg on low heat for a short time. Avoid buying the large pretty sets that you have to screw the handles to, that wobble on the cooker top, they are so much cheaper as they are cheap quality, more for decoration than cooking use. And they are not tested to UK standard. They go black and burn. Fire hazard and release toxic fumes. So glad I found this set at a good price and will last a long time as they are already built and have secure sturdy handles.”
Verified purchase“The pans are of good quality, however they are just too heavy for my 92 year old mother to safely use. Therefore they will have to be returned for a refund”

Questions people ask
How many pans are in the Kitchen Academy 12-piece set?
Six. The contents list gives two frying pans, a 1.5QT saucepan, 3QT and 5QT casseroles and a deep fry pan. The remaining six pieces in the count are lids and two silicone tools.
What sizes are the pans?
Mixed units. The frying pans are given in centimetres (20cm and 28cm) and the three lidded pans in quarts (1.5QT, 3QT, 5QT). No litre figure appears on this page at all, which is worth knowing because the £95.99 Kitchen Academy set in this guide puts 1.5, 3 and 5 against litres in its spec field while its own bullets say 1.4L, 2.8L and 4.7L.
Which hobs will it work on?
The bullets say gas, electric, ceramic and induction. The spec field is narrower and ticks Induction Cooktop only, so the two do not quite agree.
Can it go in the oven or the dishwasher?
No to both. The listing ticks 'Is Oven Safe: No' and 'Is the item dishwasher safe? No'. Kitchen Academy describes the non-stick surface as easy to clean by hand.
What is the set made of?
Aluminium, with Bakelite handles and glass lids according to the spec fields, and listed as PFOA free.
How is the Kitchen Academy set rated on Amazon?
4.6 out of 5 from 389 ratings, placing it 23rd in Pot & Pan Sets in Home & Kitchen.
