“Noticed our cat wasn't drinking as much water as we would like. We always gave him fresh water, twice a day in a bowl where he could easily access it and where it wouldn't get his wiskers in the way. But the poor little guy ended up constipated (he'll hate me telling the world this). We decided that he needed to up his water intake and were trying to figure our how to best do it.So we decided on a water fountain. We were wary of these because they make noise, they are expensive and the cat could easily just turn his nose up at it, like he does with almost everything we buy for him – except the boxes they come in, he loves those!But as soon as we filled up the Catit Flower Fountain and turned it on, he was into it like nothing else we've ever bought him. He loves it! He drinks from it all the time and we now have the peace of mind knowing he's getting plenty of fresh and filtered water in his diet. I even find myself regularly topping it up.If you buy this make sure to put plenty of water in it as the more water that's in there the quieter it works. The flower attachments are great too, although we noticed he doesn't like the little yellow bit, so we took that out and kept the white flower in and that's his preference. This is easily the best things we've bought for our cat (Lewis) and highly recommend it for any cat owners who want to make sure their cat is drinking enough water.Also probably note the power cord isn't all that long, so it will need to be close-ish to a power point.Update (27/6/17): We have since got a Pug puppy who also now loves nothing more than to drink from this fountain! The cat still drinks from it, but not as much now because the dog does too. So we bought ANOTHER one and put it in a room only the cat can get to, and he's taken to it with the same thirst he did the first time around. I can't stress this is the single best purchase i've even made for my cat – and now dog!”

“Fountain was purchased for a two cat and one puppy household. I previously used a Cat Mate for the cats but didn’t replace it when it stopped working as the cats spent the majority of time drinking from our taps or fish pond! We now have a new addition to the family, a puppy who is constantly in need of water, so I decided to try something new rather then filling up bowls all the time.I chose the Catit because it looked compact, filters were a good price and it looked aesthetically pleasing. I also thought the flower might fool the cats into thinking they were drinking from an actual plant and encourage use!The fountain arrived with the pump assembled, so I didn’t need to read the instructions fully – although they looked simple enough. So, I simply rinsed it (as per the instructions), fixed the pump into position, filled it with fresh water and placed the two plastic tops and filter in place. I was up and running within minutes of opening the package.Within 10 minutes all four legged members of the household wanted to check it out and were happily drinking! It even stopped puppy from gulping water, which I have been told is not great for them!Key points: On the plus, great looking, small and compact, good quality, it’s quiet when running, holds a lot of water and is super easy to clean and fill. It also doesn’t pick up the same amount of insects and dust as the Cat Mate (due to Cat Mate's larger surface area of open water) – the positioning is near a walkway in the utility room so plenty of movement around it.On the minus, the power lead could have been a little longer for me – it’s approximately 60” which seems like a lot but only just made the power socket!No regrets and I’m really pleased with my purchase and would certainly recommend it to anyone with fussy cats or a thirsty dog!”
