PETLIBRO Dockstream Classic Cat Water Fountain, 2.5L, Stainless Steel Tray
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Dockstream Classic is the stainless steel option here, and the listing explains the design plainly: a 2.5 litre tank, a stainless steel tray, a quiet filtered flow and a cord-free lift-off bowl for refilling, plug-in powered, under model PLWF005. Included are the fountain, a power adapter, a 1.5 metre USB-C cable, one filter and a manual.
The lift-off bowl is the feature to note, because most fountains ask you to carry the whole unit to the tap; here the bowl comes off on its own. Stainless steel also resists the biofilm that plastic bowls develop. At the time of collection it carried 5,712 ratings at 4.4 stars. Everything here comes from the Amazon listing rather than our own testing.
How those 5,712 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.4 stars.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“I bought this for my frenchies and its ideal. Its very sleek looking, It was smaller in size to what i thought but on reflection it holds the same amount of water as their old fountain so its just more compact looking as the old fountain was round. I love the fact that you have the option to having it running permanently using a plug or unplugged it runs on a sensor so you can move it round from room to room. Its very quiet when running , easy to clean and change the filters and lets you know when needs more water. I had read some reviews that replacement filters worked out pricey as it says to change fortnightly (this didnt put me off) as you can buy them in a multipack which i found very reasonable.”
Verified purchase“I bought this to replace a cheaper fountain we bought when we first got our kittens. After only a month the previous unit was filthy and had lots of little parts that were almost impossible to clean. I have had this unit for a week now and gave it a full clean for the first time today and it is, without a doubt, 100% easier to clean. There aren't any tiny parts that are unable to be reached, trickier areas are able to be cleaned with the small brush provided with the product and the parts that are likely to get the dirtiest such as the pump output tube and the drinking tray are made or silicone or stainless steel so are incredibly easy to clean.I have two 16 week old kittens, and it currently holds enough water for a week. I'm sure this will change as they get older and bigger but works great at the moment. It is 100% whisper silent - the only time it starts to make noise is when the water level is getting low, otherwise you wouldn't even know it was there. I also love the wireless power supply for the pump. Being able to lift the unit from the base to clean it without having to consider wet cables etc is a great feature. One piece of advice - the filter cover is a little bit tricky to remove when you are first setting it up. You need to give it a little bit of force to get it to pop off - I was a bit worried I was going to break it at first but it did eventually pop off with no problems. After the first use, it comes off with ease. Other than this, assembly is straightforward as everything just clips together.I would definitely recommend this fountain and am considering buying a second one for upstairs.”
