The MidWest Guinea Habitat Cage, model 171GH, takes the top spot in this guide at £35.64. It is a single-storey cage: a leak-proof PVC-lined canvas base with 35.5cm sides, a foldable frame, and a ramp and divider panel in the box. It is one of the few cages here that prints a floor area on the listing itself, quoting 8 square feet, or 0.74 square metres — which is the number this whole guide turns on.
So it is worth checking that number against the rest of the same page. MidWest's own dimensions are 119.4cm x 61cm, which multiplies to 0.73 square metres, so the quoted 0.74 is a shade generous but essentially honest. There is a sharper contradiction further down: the specification table lists its use as 'Indoor', while a bullet point on the same listing says it is 'suitable for indoor or outdoor use'. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing for this cage and the reviews left on it — we have not put it together, measured it or tested it ourselves.
