In practice the build is simple: no tools, a leak-proof PVC-lined canvas base that lifts out for hand washing, and 35.5cm sides. Lock-in-place doors double as ramps when two habitats are linked, and a ramp plus divider panel are included. It is a modular system, not a single box.

Who should not buy it: anyone wanting a tall multi-storey cage, because this is one flat floor with no lid. The base is hand wash only. And it is not the cheapest of these guinea pig cages — two playpens below cost less.
