Rank #4 in Best Guinea Pig Cages 2026: 10 Ranked by Floor Area, Not Levels
PawHut Small Animal Cage, 99 x 52 x 53cm
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The PawHut Guinea Pig Cage for Chinchillas Rabbit with Dish takes fourth place in this guide. It costs £52.24, and it is the smallest of the cages here that quote a footprint: 99 x 52cm, which works out at roughly 0.51 square metres on the bottom level, with 53cm of height above it. Inside that space the listing includes an elevated platform measuring 49 x 25cm, plus a hay rack, water bottle, bowl, ramp and a removable tray. It is rated 4.4 out of 5 from 260 ratings.
Set that against the £99.95 cage at the top of this guide, which also measures 100 x 54cm on each of its levels — 0.54 square metres. The PawHut offers roughly the floor of one level of the pricier cage for about half the money, and no more than that, because its own spec sheet lists "Number of Levels: 1" while the bullets on the same page describe an elevated platform and count a ramp among the included components. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing for this model, not from any testing we carried out.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“I bought the PawHut small animal cage for £32.99 and overall it's decent for the price. It's quite compact but big enough for a guinea pig or similar small pet to move around, and the raised platform and accessories like the food dish, water bottle and hay feeder are handy. The metal bars feel sturdy and it has good airflow. The bottom tray slides out which makes cleaning fairly easy. Assembly took a bit of time but wasn't too difficult. It's not huge, but fine for short-term or smaller spaces.”
Verified purchase“We got this cage for our Guinea pig babies, and found it perfect for our needs ( and the babies).”
