The Aystkniet Guinea Pig Cage with Waterproof Bottom is number seven in this guide, at £26.99. It is not a cage in the usual sense: it is 12 polypropylene panels that splice together into a pen, with a separate waterproof mat for the floor and buckles, zip ties and connectors to hold the shape. On flat floor area it beats the £99.95 cage that leads this guide — 0.73 square metres from the 122 x 60cm in its own bullet points, against 0.54 square metres per level there.

The catch is that this listing publishes two different versions of its own size. The bullet points say 122 x 60 x 40cm; the spec table lower down the same page says 125L x 64W x 40H cm. That is 0.73 square metres of flat floor in one case and 0.80 in the other, a gap of roughly 9 per cent on exactly the number that decides whether a guinea pig has room. The same page also calls the product a cage, a playpen and a pet fence in one title, and its usage field says Indoor while that title says indoor and outdoor. Everything below is taken from that Amazon listing, including the figures that contradict each other — we have not measured or tested the product ourselves.
