Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.

The GYM MASTER High Density Foam Plyo Jump Boxes take third place in this guide at £59.99. It is the only foam box near the top of the list, and on its own Best Sellers Rank line it is the number one seller in Jumping Trainers, with 2,383 in Sports & Outdoors alongside it. One box is meant to do the work of three: the bullets say you flip the unit to switch between 16, 20 and 24 inch training levels, and one reviewer notes that each side is labelled 16", 20" and 24".

The number that does not hold up on this page is the rating count. The header reports 166 customer ratings; the five bars beneath it read 78, 14, 4, 1 and 3, which add up to 100. Both figures are printed in the same listing and they cannot both be right. There is a smaller disagreement on weight: the bullets sell the box at 3.3kg, while the Package Dimensions field gives 4.75kg. That gap is what you would expect between a box and a box plus its packaging, but the listing never labels the two figures as different things, so on paper they simply disagree. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing for this box, not from any testing we have carried out.

What buyers actually say

Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon

Verified purchase

“The heights of each aspect are clearly labelled - 16", 20", 24". The firmness of the box is just right. There's a tiny amount of give, of flex, to soften one's landing, after jumping on it, or when lifting oneself onto it, one-legged. But it's solid and sturdy too. The black outer case can be unzipped and removed, if need be. It's hard to fault it. Perhaps, if being ultra fussy, there could be an alternative case/wrapper with metric, instead of imperial, measurements.”

“Lovely box, sizes as described. No assembly required, nice surface for my 10 year old to land on.”
