Is the HumiZap 12L worth buying?
Only if quiet matters more than tank size. The HumiZap 12L costs £99.99, runs under 36dB, and 677 buyers rate it 4.4.
Otherwise, the KNKA 16L gives you more extraction and a bigger tank for the same price.
How often will you empty the 1.6L tank?
At the full 12 litres a day, it fills in a little over 3 hours. For overnight or all-day use, connect the drain hose, which supports continuous draining.
What is it like to live with?
You get 3 modes, daily, continuous and laundry, a 24-hour timer, a night mode, a full-tank alert and 360° castors. It draws 215W, about 5p an hour at 25p per kWh.
Where does the HumiZap 12L fall short?
The 1.6L tank is the smallest here. In addition, its listing claims a floor area of 2,000 square feet, which no 12L unit can cover, so ignore that figure.
How does it compare with the KNKA 16L and the Devola 12L?
The KNKA 16L costs the same and extracts 16L with a 3L tank. Meanwhile, the Devola 12L costs £39.91 more, also quotes 36dB and has a 2L tank and a Which? award.
