Rank #2 in Best Electric Cool Box 2026: 10 Ranked, and Why the Litre Count Misleads
EUHOMY 40L Compressor Car Fridge, 12V/240V, App Control
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The EUHOMY 40L Portable Camping Fridge takes #2 in our guide to electric cool boxes. It is a compressor fridge rather than a thermoelectric cool box, priced at £199.99 and rated 4.6 out of 5 from 912 ratings. It runs from 110/240V AC at home or 12/24V DC in the car, and EUHOMY says you can change the temperature from a phone over Bluetooth.
The number to watch here is the one in the title. 40L is the only capacity figure the listing gives - no bullet, specification line or review repeats it in litres, so there is nothing in the advert to check it against, unlike the boxes whose gross and net figures both appear and disagree. The 'dual zone' description has a similar problem from the other direction: the listing sells a dual-zone storage area, the specifications say 2 sections but 1 door, and one owner reports only one compartment that actually works. Cooling is claimed as 25°C to 0°C 'quickly within 15', and the bullet stops there, so the listing never says 15 of what.
Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing for this product, not from testing we carried out ourselves.

Verified purchase“Solved the problem of having raw fed dogs when away in our camper, had one section for their food and other half for ours so could actually take a weeks or mores supply of food away with us and not have to worry about finding a shop, very pleased with it”

Questions people ask
Is the EUHOMY 40L camping fridge really dual zone?
The listing describes a dual-zone storage area and the specifications list 2 sections and 1 door. One owner reports the opposite: 'this only has one zone not two zone as in instructions', adding that the small compartment has no temperature control and does not get cold.
How cold does it get, and how fast?
The listing says the compressor cools from 25°C to 0°C 'quickly within 15'. The bullet is cut off at that point, so the listing does not state whether the 15 refers to minutes.
Can I run it from the mains indoors?
Yes. The listing includes 110/240V AC and 12/24V DC adapters, and gives the power plug type as Type G.
How loud is the EUHOMY fridge?
The listing states 42 dB, and describes it as a quiet coolbox.
Do I need to sit next to it to change the temperature?
No. EUHOMY says the fridge has a built-in Bluetooth module and can be controlled remotely from a smartphone app.
What is the capacity in litres?
40 litres, as given in the title. No other litre figure appears in the listing's bullets or specifications, so there is no second measure to compare it with.
