The Mamas & Papas Snax Adjustable Highchair in Happy Planet is number six in this guide and the cheapest chair on the list at £49.00. It is rated 4.3 out of 5 from 882 ratings, and the rating breakdown is top-heavy: 74% of ratings are five-star and 9% are one-star. The listing describes a folding chair with six height settings between roughly 66 cm and 84 cm, three recline positions, three tray positions, a five-point harness, lockable castors and BPA-free materials.

The number to read twice on this listing is the assembly one. The specification field states 'Assembly Required: No', while a customer review printed on the same page describes fitting the chair together as 'a bit tricky' at one point - the seller's 'no' and the buyer's experience do not agree. The other figure that decides how long the Snax stays useful is the Maximum Weight Recommendation of 15 Kilograms, which sits beside an Age Range Description of simply 'Baby', even though the bullet promises the chair 'grows with your child, ensuring comfort at every stage'. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing and the customer reviews shown with it; we have not tested the chair ourselves.

What buyers actually say

Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon

“My daughter had been using a famous high chair from a well known home furnishing store but she'd started escaping from it, so it was no longer fit for purpose. This was the amazing replacement I found. I've recommended this to a few people since we bought it who were having the same issue as us. It was a bit tricky to put together, just at one point when I couldn't figure out how to attach the foot rest part but I just couldn't see where the screw went to secure it. The instructions weren't super clear so I had to watch an instruction video online. We love the high chair because it's comfy and so easy to clean and we love how high it can go. So our daughter can sit and be eye level with us rather than low down looking up at us. It makes for much more fun meal times. It was also very reasonably priced and there were a few different options for the print. We got the earthy one as we thought it was the nicest one.”

“Absolutely brilliant. Had this since our little one was weaning and she still uses it at 2. Its easy to get out and put away, and it looks great. Very sturdy when up, and safety harness secures little one in without worry. Intuitive fold with a nice storage net underneath that can still be accessed when folded. Fantastic purchase.”
