The Tegeniss Single Mattress is a 25cm pocket spring and memory foam mattress, vacuum-compressed and rolled into a box. It is listed at £99.99 with a 4.6 rating from 73 ratings, and it takes tenth place in this guide. The spec table describes a 3FT single measuring 90 x 190 x 25cm, weighing 17kg, with two layers, a medium firm feel and pocketed coil construction. The bullets add that the springs are "mixed independent bag springs" paired with pressure-reducing cotton.

The number worth looking for on this listing is the one that is missing. The coil type and construction rows name the spring system but never say how many springs are inside, so there is nothing here to set against the 300, 420 and 200 coil figures that the three listings in this guide do publish. The 25cm thickness, by contrast, is repeated three times — Item Thickness, Item Depth and the size row — while the 17kg weight puts this one in the heavier group for that thickness rather than the 6.8kg and 9.5kg end of it. The firmness rows also disagree with each other: the spec table says "Medium Firm" whereas the bullet text describes "soft/moderate firmness". Every figure on this page is taken from the Amazon listing as it stands, not from any mattress we have tested ourselves.

What buyers actually say

“We got this mattress whilst reduced and I must say for the price. We find it great! I would recommend having a lot of space when opening as it springs out as soon as the plastice wrapping is cut.We left it for the 72 hours as recommended and there was no smells from it. Found it comfy. I would say it is firm (I weigh 59kg) hubby says it's medium although he is bigger. Hubby suffers with back pain and we really needed a new mattress as with our previous 1, he was so uncomfortable and woke up sore although that hasn't been a problem since getting this one. Kicking myself that we had spent hundreds on other mattresses and they weren't as comfy as this 1.Hubby says it's like sleeping on a hotel mattress.I'd def recommend. It is thick and comfy 🙂”

“Nice just perfect, old mattress was so lumpy and bumpy found this on amazon and wow what an up grade. Feels nice sleep better and cheaper than getting one for £500 well worth the money.”

Questions people ask

How thick is the Tegeniss Single Mattress?

The spec table gives 25 centimetres in the Item Thickness row, repeats it as Item Depth 25 cm, and gives it again in the size row, 3FT Single (90 x 190 x 25cm). The bullet text also describes a thickness of 25cm.

Does the Tegeniss mattress state how many coils or springs it has?

No. The spec table lists a Mattress Coil Type of Pocketed Coil and a Construction Type of Pocket Spring, but no row carries a coil number, and the bullets say only "mixed independent bag springs".

What firmness is the Tegeniss mattress?

The Item Firmness Description row reads Medium Firm, while the bullet text describes "soft/moderate firmness". Those two do not say the same thing.

What is the Tegeniss mattress filled with?

Fill Material is listed as Memory Foam and Cotton, the Mattress Comfort Layer Material as Memory foam, and the Material Type as Memory Foam. The bullet text adds "pressure-reducing cotton".

Does it arrive rolled up in a box?

Yes. The bullets say it is vacuum-compressed, sealed and rolled into a box, and ask you to wait 72 hours after opening the box before use so it can stretch fully.

How much does the Tegeniss single mattress weigh?

17 kg, as listed in the Item Weight row, for a 90 x 190 x 25cm single.
