The Evolution Power Tools R255TBL is a portable multi-material table saw with a 255 mm tungsten carbide tipped blade, listed at £294.78 and sitting at number six in this guide. It is the model Evolution built to replace the Rage 5-S, and it is the cheapest of the three 255 mm Evolution saws collected here — the other two are £379.98 and £417.97. It is also the one listing in this guide whose motor figure agrees with itself: the title says 1,650 W and the specification table says "1650 watts". The Bosch, DeWalt and Scheppach listings in this guide all disagree with themselves on exactly that kind of number.

The accessories are where the money moves. The bullets say to add the wheeled stand for extra portability, and it is sold separately. The dearest 255 mm Evolution here, at £417.97, is the 1,800 W saw supplied with a wheeled stand; the £379.98 listing is the same 1,800 W machine without one. That puts the stand at £37.99 of the £123.19 between the cheapest and dearest versions. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing, not from a test of our own.

“I'm new to woodworking but I have found this table saw to be very useful for ripping boards and sheet material. I have since added the trolley base, left side feed extension and different riving knife. I hope to add the zero clearance throat plate soon. I have also upgraded the blade to a finer wood blade with more teeth. The cross sled attachment is good for cross cuts on shorter pieces. The plastic push stick is functional but I will probably upgrade that as well.”
