Rank #2 in Best Air Fryer 2026: 10 Ranked, and Why the Litre Number Lies
Ninja Air Fryer PRO 4.7L, Single Drawer, 4-in-1, AF140UK
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Ninja Air Fryer PRO is the single-basket Ninja, and it takes second place in our ranking for people who would rather have one larger drawer than two smaller ones. Its 4.7L basket is bigger than either half of the dual-zone Foodi MAX, so it takes a whole small chicken or a full batch of chips in one go, and at GBP 79 it costs less than half what the twin-drawer model does. It shares Ninja's build and a 4.8-star rating, with 87 per cent of reviews at five, and keeps things simple with four functions: Air Fry, Roast, Reheat and Dehydrate.
Its spec sheet is also refreshingly clean next to the Foodi MAX's. It correctly lists 2000W, 240V and real dimensions of about 36 by 28.5 by 26.5 centimetres, so you can actually plan where it goes. The only quibbles are small: it draws 210°C as its maximum and the table both calls the control method "Touch" and the controller "Manual". As with every air fryer, read the 4.7L as the empty basket to the brim — the usable layer of food is a good deal less, roughly enough for two to three people. Everything here comes from the Amazon listing rather than our own testing.
How those 902 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.8 stars.

Questions people ask
How big is the Ninja PRO 4.7L really?
The 4.7L is the empty basket measured to the brim, so the usable food layer is less, roughly enough for two to three people or a generous meal for two. Crucially, that single 4.7L drawer is larger than either drawer of the dual-zone Foodi MAX, so it fits a bigger single item.
Should I get this or the dual-zone Foodi MAX?
Get this if you cook one thing at a time and want the bigger single basket for less money. Get the Foodi MAX if you regularly cook two foods that need different settings at once, which is the one thing a single basket cannot do.
How many functions does it have?
Four: Air Fry, Roast, Reheat and Dehydrate. That is fewer than the "13-in-1" style listings elsewhere, but those extra numbers are mostly stored time-and-temperature presets rather than distinct abilities.
Are the dimensions on the listing accurate?
Yes, unusually. It gives about 36 x 28.5 x 26.5 cm, which is realistic for a 4.7L single basket, so you can plan your worktop space around it, unlike some listings here whose dimensions are clearly wrong.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes. The basket and crisper plate are non-stick and dishwasher safe, and it is a Ninja, so build quality and the review record are strong.
How powerful is it?
2000W, reaching 210°C. That is ample for fast, even air frying; wattage barely varies across the machines in this ranking, so it is not a reason to choose one over another.
