A 4-litre single-basket digital fryer from a long-established British brand, it crisps chips, frozen snacks, chicken and roast vegetables just fine, and it has the evidence to back that up: over two thousand ratings at 4.6 stars. At GBP 59.99 it is the sensible first air fryer or second-oven pick for a small household.
Its spec sheet is clean and, unusually, honest about a limitation: it lists 1350W, 240V, real dimensions of about 34 by 25 by 26 centimetres, and answers "Is the item dishwasher safe?" with a plain "No", so you wash the basket by hand. Is the Russell Hobbs 4L as good as a Ninja?
For the everyday job — chips, frozen food, chicken, vegetables — reviewers say it cooks as well as the big brands, at a third of the price. What you give up is a second basket and premium build, not cooking performance. As a first air fryer for one or two people, it is the value pick here.
Is it dishwasher safe?
No. The listing states this plainly, so the basket and plate are hand-wash only. That is the main practical trade-off against the dearer Ninja models, whose parts go in the dishwasher.
How big is it?
A 4L single basket, right for one or two people or a side dish alongside a main oven. The usable food volume is below the 4L brim figure, as with any air fryer. Its real footprint is about 34 x 25 x 26 cm.
What do the 10 programmes do?
They are one-touch time-and-temperature presets for common foods, a convenience rather than ten separate talents. You can also set time and temperature yourself. Every machine in this ranking counts presets this way.
How powerful is it?
1350W, lower than the 2000W-plus premium models, but wattage barely affects results across these machines and reviewers specifically praise the lower draw for use in a motorhome. It reaches a normal air-frying temperature range.
Is 4 litres enough for a family?
Not really; 4L is a one-to-two-person size. A family that cooks several components at once is better served by a dual-basket such as the Ninja Foodi MAX or the cheaper Tower dual.
