The Philips AirFryer 2000 Series takes fifth place in our air fryer ranking, and it is the premium single-basket pick. Philips brought the first domestic air fryer to market, and its RapidAir system remains among the best at moving hot air evenly, which shows in even browning without shuffling the basket halfway through. This 4.2L single-drawer model has a 4.7-star rating, a StarPlate base that spreads airflow under the food, and dishwasher-safe parts.
Its spec sheet is clean and realistic: the table gives 1500W, 240V and real dimensions of about 37 by 27 by 29 centimetres, so it plans easily onto a worktop. The headline "13 programs" is the usual preset marketing — stored time-and-temperature settings rather than thirteen separate abilities. The 4.2L basket is on the small side, right for one or two people, and as ever the usable food volume sits below the brim litre figure. At GBP 79.99 it costs the same as the larger-basket Ninja PRO, so you are paying for the Philips airflow engineering rather than for capacity. How big is it?
A 4.2L single basket, right for one or two people or a side dish. That is smaller than the same-price Ninja PRO 4.7L, so if maximum basket size at the price is your priority, the Ninja holds more; if even cooking in a tidy machine matters more, the Philips wins.
What do the 13 programs do?
They are one-touch time-and-temperature presets for common foods, a convenience rather than thirteen separate talents. You can also set time and temperature yourself. Every machine in this ranking counts presets this way.
Is it dishwasher safe?
