Rank #5 in Best 128GB SD Cards 2026: 10 Ranked, and Three Adverts That Contradict Themselves
Lexar Silver 128GB UHS-I Card (205MB/s)
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Lexar Silver 128GB is a UHS-I SDXC card that finished fifth in our guide to 128GB SD cards. It is also the card in that set whose headline number carries the biggest condition attached. The 205MB/s in the product title only applies with a Lexar RW310X card reader, and the listing says so in its own first bullet: "Must Use Lexar RW310X card reader to achieve maximum transfer speed. (Sold separately)." What the advert actually promises for shooting without extra kit is the 140MB/s write figure and the V30 rating.
At £43.19 for 128GB this is a considered purchase rather than an impulse one, and the listing carries a 4.6 average from 4,093 ratings. The way those ratings fall is worth a look: 77% are five-star and 13% are four-star, but 5% are three-star, 1% is two-star and 4% are one-star, so roughly one rating in ten sits at three stars or below. Every figure on this page — the specification fields, the bullet points and the customer quotes — comes from the Amazon listing rather than from testing we carried out ourselves.
How those 4,093 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.6 stars.
