Even the new RF version is worse and has more chromatic aberration, does not sharpen up to outstanding levels like this one between F4 and F8. While the RF focuses slightly faster and closer I have actually sold it to use this one instead in my makeshift studio and for general photography. Photo was taken mounted on Canon 40D and R5 mk 1 too, this lens is a match for the high density high megapixel sensor too, especially when stopped down as mentioned above. And a "secret perk"?
