The Viltrox AF 85mm F1.4 Pro FE is the Sony E-mount version of Viltrox's 85mm f/1.4 Pro prime, and it sits at number eight in this guide at £569.00. It is rated 4.3 out of 5 from 21 ratings, and 70 of the 100 ratings in the breakdown are five-star. The listing describes a 15-element, 11-group design with 3 ED, 9 HR and 1 UA glass, dual HyperVCM motors that Viltrox says focus 150% faster than traditional STM motors, and a 72mm filter thread.

The reason it is filed at number eight is a number that does not agree with itself. The spec table lists 9 diaphragm blades; the fifth bullet on the same page claims 11 aperture blades. The Nikon-mount version of this same lens, at the same £569, lists 11 in its spec table. One of those figures is wrong and the listing does not say which. Elsewhere the spec table calls an 85mm prime a "Prime Lens With Wide Angle Capability", the description mentions APS-C format sensors while the title says full frame, and the spec table's compatible-camera field names five bodies against the ten named in the title. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from our own testing.
