It takes the number one spot in this guide, and its 4.3-out-of-5 rating comes from 3,632 ratings, of which 67% are five-star and 16% four-star — with 8% at one star.

The number worth checking here is the wattage. The listing gives a maximum speaker output of 5 W and also says the 2,200 mAh battery lasts up to 12 hours. At the 3.7 V printed on the same listing, 2,200 mAh is about 8.1 Wh, which spread over 12 hours is an average draw of roughly 0.68 W — comfortably under 5 W, so those two figures can both be true at once. The £44.95 radio in this guide claims 30 W from a 2,000 mAh battery and 10 hours, which works out at about 0.74 W on average: the same order of magnitude, at a higher price. One entry does not sit so neatly — the spec table carries the line '1 A batteries required. (included)' even though the description describes a built-in rechargeable cell.
