Rank #2 in Best DJ Controllers 2026: 10 Ranked, Three Whose Numbers Don't Add Up
Numark Mixtrack Pro FX
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Numark Mixtrack Pro FX is a two-deck controller for Serato DJ Lite, which comes included. The listing describes large 6-inch capacitive-touch jog wheels, a built-in 24-bit audio interface, plug-and-play USB for Mac and Windows, six quick-launch effects with dual paddle triggers, eight performance pads per deck, and a mixer section with 3-band EQ, filter knobs, channel faders and a crossfader. It sits at number two in this guide at £175.00, rated 4.4 out of 5 from 4,858 ratings.
What holds it at second rather than first is not the feature list but what the specification table says about itself. Under Power Source the listing reads "USB bus power". A few lines later, under Voltage, it reads "120 Volts". A controller that takes its current from a USB port draws 5 volts from that port, so those two fields cannot both describe the same unit as sold, and nothing else on the page says which one applies. Every figure on this page is copied from the Amazon listing as it stands; we have not plugged this controller in or tested it ourselves.
How those 4,858 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.4 stars.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“Okay so yes I'm lucky enough to have DJ'd nearly forever, full-time, and still resident in a major venue- which invites bigtime 'names' every few weeks to work alongside me. Having just had one of those events I've sent off my /the club's expensive (co-industry standard with the Pioneers) Rane4 controller (the guys love using that too when they come in) on its holidays for a service.Meantime I've bought the Pro FX to get me by in the place for maybe a dozen shows.I used to have one of the older Numarks and partly thanks to that unit, managed to keep moving and shaking in the industry though that was a dozen+ years back.So this version is one fairly similar to that - and nostalgic -and so far having rehearsed a bit with it today I'm having great fun and can see me more than enjoy it for the weeks it's employed despite getting used to the much smaller spec by way of dimensions and of course other intricacies.I won't be having the other pro DJ's use this obviously but to summarize it feels like a mini- Rane which is a compliment and the controls don't feel too shabby to do hours long sets with, in da club with various genre all mixed at fast speed. I'll quite like the challenge to see how the clientele find any change in (my) performance. No I don't use Serato - I have a lesser known software called PCDJ Dex4 and the Pro FX seems to love it plug 'n play as it should do being listed as one of the PCDJ associated controllers.”
Verified purchase“Feels very premium with weighted Jog Wheels and lovely full length faders. I know its a Numark but its a great controller for DJ, Serato. I use DJ and I didnt have to edit a single menu setting ( the HPF effect doesnt work ) But a very good product with Audio Interface ( 4 Channel ). the ONLY thing is that the MIC input is fed DIRECTLY to the ouput its not detectable in software so no EQ,FX or creative stuff but otherwise such good valie.”
