Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
At £12.34, the LMECHN otoscope is the lowest-priced kit in this guide, and it is the one with by far the most feedback behind it: 1,161 ratings averaging 4.0 out of 5. It is a 1920P camera on a small tip that connects to your phone over its own WiFi and is controlled through an app, with eight cleaning attachments in the box and a rechargeable USB-C body rated IP67. It is less than half the price of the other electric ear wax removers ranked around it, and it sits at number 6.
The thing worth knowing before you buy is inside a single bullet point. The heading reads '3.5mm & 1920P FHD Camera', and the sentence underneath that same heading reads '3.0mm diameter conforms to the structure of the human ear'. Those are the only two figures the listing gives for the size of the tip, and they do not agree with each other. The 1,161 ratings are also less tidy than the 4.0 average suggests: 60% of them are five-star, but 18% are one- or two-star. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing, not from any testing we have carried out.
How those 1,161 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.0 stars.
