Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Donner DED-200LITE is a 7-piece electronic drum kit at £287.37, and it takes seventh place in this round-up. On the listing numbers alone it reads like the straightforward beginner option: 4.6 out of 5 from 145 ratings, 450 sound options across 31 drum kits, four 8-inch mesh pads, three 10-inch cymbals, and a throne, headphones and sticks in the box. Its Best Sellers Rank is given as 7,161 in Musical Instruments & DJ and 31 in Electronic Drums.
The number that does not hold up is the star breakdown. The histogram on the same listing shows 82 five-star, 10 four-star, 2 three-star, 1 two-star and 5 one-star reviews - 100 in total, against the 145 ratings the listing states elsewhere on the page. The included-components field has its own wrinkle: it names three 10-inch cymbals and four 8-inch mesh drums, repeats "Headphones" three times, and never mentions the kick and hi-hat pedals that the bullet points say are part of the kit. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing, not from any testing we carried out.
How those 145 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.6 stars.
