The beyerdynamic MMX 300 PRO is our number 9 gaming headset pick and the studio grade outlier in the September 2026 list. Built on beyerdynamic's studio line, it is a wired, closed-back over-ear headset with a 5 Hz to 35,000 Hz frequency range, a 48 ohm impedance and a high quality condenser microphone tuned for voice intelligibility. Ear pads, headband and cable are all sold as interchangeable replacement parts, and the box adds a PC cable, a console adapter and a microphone pop filter.
At £259 it is the most expensive and most specialist set here. The sheet is honest, which earns it respect, but the pool is thin at 296 ratings and 3.9 overall, even though every review we collected is five stars. It suits players who already know they want studio sound and voice quality at a fixed desk. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing rather than our own testing.
How those 296 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 3.9 stars.
