Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The SHOKZ OpenRun Pro 2 is a bone conduction sports headphone — open-ear, so nothing sits inside your ear canal — and it takes the top spot in this guide at £169.00. It is also the only pair in the list whose headline battery number needs no second device to make sense. The listing claims up to 12 hours of music playback from one full charge, and there is no charging case in the box to add to it: the box contents name a carrying bag, a USB-C cable, reflective stickers and a service card. Every other '40-hour' figure in this article only reaches that total by counting a case.
Not every number on the Amazon page agrees with itself, though. The Best Sellers Rank field says 5 in Open-Ear Headphones while this guide puts it first, and the box contents line lists the USB-C charging cable twice. The ratings column is the one that holds together: 4.4 out of 5 from 8,204 ratings, and the breakdown shown is weighted hard to five stars. Everything on this page — price, rating, specs and battery claims — comes from the Amazon listing for this model, not from any testing we have carried out.
How those 8,204 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.4 stars.
