The MSI MAG A850GL is the third entry in our guide to PC power supplies. It is an 850 Watt, fully modular, ATX 3.0 unit with 80 PLUS Gold certification, listed at £94.99 with a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 938 reviews.
The figure worth checking on this listing is the input voltage. The spec table gives a minimum of 207 Volts (AC) and a maximum of 240 Volts (AC) — a narrow window, but one that covers the roughly 230V UK mains, which is the opposite of the problem elsewhere in this guide. The same table also lists a "Connector Quantity" of 1, while the bullet text describes a fully modular unit with ATX and PCI Express connector types and a native 16-pin PCIe connector rated to feed up to 600W to a graphics card; a single connector cannot be both. The fan is the one place where text and table agree: 120 mm in the bullets, 120 Millimetres in the spec table. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon product listing, not from testing we carried out ourselves.
