Rank #3 in Best Smart Bulbs 2026: 10 Ranked, Wattage Claims Checked
Lepro B22 Smart Bulb, 1521lm, 12W
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Lepro B22 AI Smart Bulb is a colour-changing LED that takes the number 3 spot in our smart bulb guide. It costs £12.73 and holds 4.4 out of 5 from 4,683 ratings. It runs over 2.4GHz WiFi and Bluetooth through the Lepro app, so no separate hub is needed, and the listing puts its maximum light output at 1521 lumens with voice control through Alexa and Google Assistant.
Two things in the listing do not line up with each other. The title reads 12W=100W, but the spec table's "Incandescent Equivalent" field reads 12 Watts — the same number as the wattage, which is itself written as "12 Watt-hours" rather than 12 watts. The title also rounds the output to 1520lm where the table says 1521 lumens, and the bulb is described as tunable from warm to cool daylight while the Color Temperature field gives one figure, 2700 Kelvin. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing and its customer reviews. We have not tested the bulb ourselves.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“Perfect, simple, extremely bright, great low light, app works well. So much better than a boring normal bulb. Create atmosphere instantly.”
Verified purchase“I purchased this item because I have other Lepro bulbs BUT this is the new version, disregard the instructions inside which state that the bulb should blink fast. Download the new Lepro app from google store switch the bulb on which pulsates blue rather than blinks find out the bulb type from the side of the box and enter it it will pair without the need to switch it on and off like before. Once paired you can change colour, brightness. To pair with Alexa go into the alexa app select devices and hit the + button make sure the light is on and it will link the new lepro skills and set it up, once you have named it you have to assign it to a room and the next button will illuminate press that and your set up should be done and it will switch on/off with Alexa.Sounds a lot but its worth it. I returned the first one thinking it was faulty as it didnt blink quickly as per leaflet in box but this is the new better version.Hope this helps”
