Rank #2 in Best Solar Panels 2026: 10 Ranked, and Where the Wattage Doesn't Add Up
Renogy 640W Solar Panel Kit (2 x 320W N-Type)
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Renogy 640W kit is at number 2 in this guide: a two-panel set of 320W monocrystalline modules aimed at campervan roofs, boats and home installs, listed at £288.97. The title promises 640W. The specification table in the same listing says "Maximum Power: 320 Watts". The 640W figure only works if you count both panels in the box, and the 320W in the spec table describes one of them.
The rest of the listing does not line up neatly either. The bullets credit N-TYPE cells with an 18BB layout, while the spec table says "Advanced PERC Cell Technology". The included components line calls it "2 Pieces 320W Flexible Solar Panel", but the same bullets describe low iron-tempered glass and corrosion-resistant aluminium frames, and each panel is listed at 3.5 cm thick and 14.9 kg. The rating is 4.4 out of 5 from 21 ratings, while the star breakdown adds to 100 - 69 five-star, 23 four-star and 8 one-star. At £288.97, the kit works out at 45p per watt if the 640W total is right and 90p per watt if the spec table's 320W is; the other panels in this guide run from 41p to 98p per watt. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing, not from testing we carried out ourselves.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“Excellent packaging, despite it being bounced around the delivery truck and all the carboard box hanging off, it was well protected. units have been installed, produce good power even in cloud cover. Used on an Anker SolixC1000 PowerStation in parallel. producing 480watt in good sun. (its clipped due to power input restrictions). would recommend this product, good quality.”
Verified purchase“I recently installed these Solar Panels to my Renault Master, a little heavier than I wanted but that was my fault for not looking into the weight, but I'm really impressed with them, they are good quality and well built, and are performing higher than my expectations for my 280AH Lithium battery, they arrived on time and were well protected and packaged. Overall a great investment if your looking for high performance reliable panels. Definitely recommend.”

Questions people ask
How much power does the Renogy 640W kit put out?
The title and bullets state 640W, which is 2 x 320W. The spec table in the same listing states "Maximum Power: 320 Watts". One reviewer reports 480W in good sun from the pair, which he says was clipped by his power station's input limit.
Is this a flexible panel?
The included components line says "2 Pieces 320W Flexible Solar Panel". The bullets describe low iron-tempered glass and corrosion-resistant aluminium frames, so the two descriptions in the listing do not match.
How heavy is it?
The spec table gives 14.9 kg per panel. One buyer notes the panels were "a little heavier than I wanted" after not checking the weight beforehand.
What connector do the panels use?
The spec table lists "Connector Type: USB" (as listed). The listing otherwise describes them as solar modules for campervan, home, boat and residential use.
What warranty does Renogy offer?
A 10-year materials and workmanship warranty, plus a 25-year 80% output warranty.
What do buyers say about the quality?
The listing shows 4.4 out of 5 from 21 ratings. Reviews describe good power even in cloud cover, quality build, and one buyer reports a panel arriving broken by courier damage which Renogy sorted out quickly.
