The Comfyer BM01 is a two-camera baby monitor with a 7-inch screen and no WiFi: it pairs two 1080p cameras over 2.4GHz FHSS and shows them together on a 2/4 split screen. It took seventh place in this guide and costs £129.99, with a 4.1-out-of-5 rating drawn from 389 ratings on Amazon.

Its place here rests mainly on one contradiction, the one the article calls out: a bullet promises "No drilling. No screws." for the flexible goose-neck mount, while the specification table on the same page lists Installation Type as "Screw In" and Mount Type as "Wall Mount". The resolution figures cause less trouble once you separate them — the name puts 720P HD on the screen and 1080p on the two cameras, and the spec table's Video Capture Resolution matches the cameras rather than the screen. Everything below is taken from the Amazon listing as written; we have not handled or tested the Comfyer BM01 ourselves.

What buyers actually say

“We think this is the best monitor we've owned (of about 6-7 over the years).Camera resolution is strong even at night, the screen has intuitive controls (mostly), 2-year warranty and battery life is fine. Also a clock which annoyingly many don't have!We liked that everything worked straight out of the box and that it came with 1 flexible camera mount (an option for 2 would've been nice) which is great for positioning on awkward furniture like the top of the wardrobe and pointing the camera down (avoids tape/blu-tack!).The audio is from one camera at a time but there's a scan mode which flips the audio feed between cameras every 10 secs which works well. Video feed is from both cameras in split screen (you can force it to just 1 or up to 4 cameras though).”

“Honestly we love it! The big screen is amazing, especially for when our second baby comes along and we'll be using the two cameras! We were also so impressed with the camera quality in both light and dark! Our previous camera was so pixilated where as this one is clear as day. Was super easy to mount to the wall and the fact that you can move it around with the monitor is honestly a godsend!Myself and my husband are genuinely super impressed with the cameras and monitor, I wish we'd known about you sooner quite honestly!Would 100% recommend to other parents!!”
