The Z-Edge 27 Inch 4K Monitor is a 27-inch IPS panel with a native 3840x2160 resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, HDR10 and a stand that adjusts for height, tilt, rotation and pivot. It is listed at £179.99 and holds a 4.2 out of 5 rating from 137 reviews. In this guide it sits at number 8.

The finding on this entry is a quiet one: unlike the cheapest monitor in the guide, the Z-Edge's bullets and its specification table agree with each other. Both say 60 Hz. Both describe an IPS panel, a matte finish and 178-degree viewing angles. The disagreement is with the buyers instead. One reviewer writes that he is running it at 75Hz, which is a figure that appears nowhere in the listing, and another says he picked it up for £159.99 rather than the £179.99 on the page. In a category where every box shouts about refresh rate, the number in the table, the number in the review and the number at the till are not always the same number. Everything below is taken from the Amazon listing and the reviews left on it, not from our own testing.

“I picked this up for £159.99. The reviews seemed pretty positive but I wasn't expecting much.It really is a great buy. The stand is metallic and works well. The screen is clear and bright, and there are no dead pixels etc.I had heard mixed feelings about a 27" 4k screen with Mac OS. Some people claimed the text could be burly if it was particularly small, because of the way Mac scaling works (and 5k was the way to go). Well that simply ins't the case. I have this running at 2560x1440 (this is the perfect resolution for this screen imo) and the work space is great, and the text is great (see 3rd for a photo I took of the screen.....it's a bit silly but it clearly shows that tiny text is clear on Mac OS on this screen).Bad stuff? Ermm, the logo on the front is a bit tacky. The controls on the back can be a bit fiddly. There's no USB-C input. But I think that's it.For the price, you really can't go wrong with this screen. It looks smart (logo aside), it's got a nice stand, great screen, good brightness (I appreciate the more expensive ones will be brighter, but it's perfectly usable in my room with a window right next to it).Highly recommended!”

“I cannot fault this monitor the 4K HDR is excellent with the added advantage of 75hz refresh rate. Colours are perfect. This monitor has everything you need and more considering the price vs other higher priced monitors with the same features. Highly recommended.”
