Verified purchase“Used this lens to shoot numerous Volleyball games, most in horrible lighting. Also have used it for some portrait work. It is sharp and fast. The compression that you can get with this for portrait work is so awesome. Did some outdoor portraits for prom shoot and really liked the background compression effect that I get.It is also expensive, especially compared to some of the offerings from Sigma or Tamron. But it is lighter, and is not limited to 15 FPS. There are ton of videos on Youtube about this lens and comparing it to the other brands. I watched all of them and pretty much the main them is: if you can afford it, buy the Sony Gm II. I agree with them!”
