NOCO GENIUS1 1A 6V/12V Smart Battery Charger & Maintainer
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The NOCO GENIUS1 is a 1-amp smart charger and maintainer that the listing says handles both 6-volt and 12-volt lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries. It sits at number five in this guide at £38.80, with 4.4 stars from 4,433 ratings — one of the two largest review counts in the list.
The finding on this listing sits in its own spec table. NOCO sells the GENIUS1 as a 6V/12V unit, but the panel gives a single "Output Voltage: 12 Volts (DC)". The same table lists a "Battery Charge Time" of "1 Hours" next to a "Current Rating" of "1 Amps" — one hour to charge a battery, from a charger that delivers one amp. Both figures are printed in the same box and describe very different jobs. Elsewhere the panel is just as odd in the other direction: it lists "Amperage: 1 Amps", which at least agrees with the "Current Rating" field, and a 240-volt input, which is right for something that plugs into the mains.
Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing for this product — its price, its ratings, its spec panel and the customer reviews quoted below. We have not tested the GENIUS1 ourselves, and nothing here is the result of our own bench work.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“I bought this for my Porsche to keep the battery topped up when not in use over winter.Although it's not designed for this size battery and probably wouldn't charge it from flat it's exactly what I wanted, just a really steady charge , it took over a week to charge from below 75 % to just below 100% .I'm very happy with it just plugged it in it automatically selected the 12v option and a steady blinking red light turned to green eventually. If I wanted to charge it quickly I have an old style trickle charger which just takes a few day's.”
Verified purchase“Awesome and easy, just plug it in and connect the weatherproof plug and your bike is always ready to roll. It comes with 1 battery connector so it's permanently fixed to the battery which is definitely easier than taking the seat off and messing around with crocodile clips. Works with my lithium battery too and just senses what type of battery it is so you can't get mixed up. I'd always used optimate before but they tend not to last very long and I've had 4 over the past 5 or 6 years. The connector is very solid on the Noco and I have one on each of my bikes and my son's car. The extra connectors are readily available on Amazon or AliExpress and you can get extensions up to 3m long. Nice heavy duty cables too. Definitely recommended 😊👍”

Questions people ask
How long does the NOCO GENIUS1 take to charge a battery?
The listing's spec panel gives a Battery Charge Time of 1 Hours and a Current Rating of 1 Amps. Those two figures appear in the same table; a 1-amp output is a maintenance-level current rather than a fast charge.
Will the NOCO GENIUS1 charge a 6-volt battery?
The product name and description say the GENIUS1 covers both 6-volt and 12-volt lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries. The spec panel, though, lists only one Output Voltage: 12 Volts (DC).
Can the NOCO GENIUS1 revive a completely flat battery?
The listing says it will charge batteries from as low as 1 volt, and that Force Mode lets you manually charge completely dead batteries down to zero volts.
Can I leave the NOCO GENIUS1 connected permanently?
Yes. The listing says the charger constantly monitors the battery and can be left connected safely, indefinitely, for maintenance charging without overcharging.
What batteries does the NOCO GENIUS1 work with?
Per the listing: 6-volt and 12-volt lead-acid (AGM, EFB, Gel, SLA, VRLA, Start-Stop) and lithium-ion (LiFePO4), including flooded, maintenance-free, deep-cycle, marine and powersport batteries.
What comes in the box with the NOCO GENIUS1?
The listing names the GENIUS1UK charger, needle-nose battery clamps with integrated eyelet terminals, a battery charger user guide and a 3-year limited warranty.
