Rank #1 in Best Dash Cam 2026: 10 Ranked, and Which 4K Is Actually 4K
GKU D600 Pro Max 4K Dash Cam Front and Rear, STARVIS 2, Supercapacitor
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The GKU D600 Pro Max sits at the top of this ranking and the listing explains why. It describes a Sony STARVIS 2 sensor recording at 2160p up front with a 170 degree field of view, fed over a 5.8GHz WiFi 6 connection the listing rates at up to 20MB/s for downloads. GPS, voice control, a built-in microphone and speaker and a 3-inch IPS display are all named.
The detail that matters most for a dash cam in a hot car is not in the headline at all: the listing specifies a supercapacitor rather than a lithium battery, which is the version that survives summer dashboard temperatures. A 12+12 month warranty is named as well. At the time of collection it carried 1,801 ratings at 4.5 stars. Everything here comes from the Amazon listing rather than our own testing.
How those 1,752 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.5 stars.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“I fitted this in my car and it was very simple to do. It comes with all the necessary wiring connections and when powered up the app is very good. It down loads clips very fast that makes it easy to use. The size of the camera is such that it hides behind the rear view mirror and is out of sight pretty much from the drivers view. I haven’t yet fitted the rear camera although I have connected it and when connected there is an I screen view of both front and rear cameras. The gps which is built in gives an accurate location and speed which is recorded to the file that is down loaded. Over all it is very good for the price and I wish I had bought two intact. Using one at the front and one at the back to avoid running a cable from front to rear which on my car requires lowering the head lining which I don’t want to do.”
Verified purchase“Really clear footage both front and back. Easy to lock a recording. Only criticism I can find is it's sometimes slow to connect to my phone to download any footage. But apart from that excellent little camera very pleased with it. Excellent value for money. Easy to set up.”
