Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The GKU D600 Pro Max sits at the top of this ranking and the listing explains why. It describes a Sony STARVIS 2 sensor recording at 2160p up front with a 170 degree field of view, fed over a 5.8GHz WiFi 6 connection the listing rates at up to 20MB/s for downloads. GPS, voice control, a built-in microphone and speaker and a 3-inch IPS display are all named.
The detail that matters most for a dash cam in a hot car is not in the headline at all: the listing specifies a supercapacitor rather than a lithium battery, which is the version that survives summer dashboard temperatures. A 12+12 month warranty is named as well. At the time of collection it carried 1,801 ratings at 4.5 stars. Everything here comes from the Amazon listing rather than our own testing.
How those 1,752 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.5 stars.
