It is belt driven but the smaller platters mean it has enough torque for scratching etc. This would be a great controller for anyone who wants the feel of turntables and definitely for those who want to delve into scratching on moving platters. I have 2 controllers but this is by far the most fun (and cheapest). If you're thinking about the T7 there are more than enough reviews on YouTube -Do your homework.”
