HP 250 G9 15.6" Laptop, Intel Core i7-1255U, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The HP 250 G9 costs £645 and uses the same i7-1255U as the £586.69 Acer and the £599.99 HP 14 — the third price for one chip, and the highest.
It is the last machine in this ranking for its record: twenty-four per cent of thirty-five buyers give it one star, its own specification says it has no webcam, and it lists a 1990s memory type on an integrated graphics chip.

Questions people ask
Why is the same chip £58 more than the Acer?
Nothing on the page justifies it: both use the i7-1255U, and this one adds a Pro licence, a backlit keyboard and a worse record.
Does it have a webcam?
Its own specification says no, in a field called webcam capability, despite being listed for business use with Windows 11 Pro.
What is wrong with the specification?
The memory type is 72-pin EDO SIMM, from the early 1990s, and 16 GB of system memory is entered in the graphics card memory field.
What do buyers say?
Twenty-four per cent give it one star. One describes trouble with the licence code that the supplier resolved, which is the kind of thing to expect with a Pro licence sold this way.
Was it in stock?
No: the page said temporarily out of stock on the afternoon we collected it, so check availability before deciding.
How many ratings does it have?
35 at the time of collection, averaging 3.5 stars, with 47 per cent five-star and 24 per cent one-star.
