Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The AGM Taipan TM15-256 sits at number 4 in this guide. It is a handheld thermal monocular listed at £407.66, rated 4.2 out of 5 from 152 ratings, and its headline number is one of the few in this round-up that holds still: the 256 × 192 resolution in the title is the same 256 × 192, 12 μm detector named in the bullet list. No interpolation, no upscaling, no asterisk.
What does not hold still is the mounting. The specification fields list a Picatinny Mount and name 'Short Firearm, Rifle' as the compatible devices, while the same listing's product style field says Handheld and the title calls it a monocular — nothing in the name or the bullets mentions a weapon mount. The rating breakdown does not match the headline either: the star bars add up to 100 ratings (63 + 16 + 10 + 4 + 7), while the page states 152. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from any testing we carried out.
