The GOYOJO thermal imaging monocular is a handheld thermal camera with a 256 x 192 sensor, a 15 mm lens, 25 Hz refresh, 4x digital zoom and 16 GB of image storage. At £499 it is the most expensive unit in this guide and it sits at number five, but it is one of the few listings here that names its native sensor resolution — 256 x 192 — rather than a boosted figure.

Where its own listing stops agreeing with itself is elsewhere. One product bullet advertises an IP66 waterproof rating that "can withstand heavy rain"; the item highlight field on the same page says IP65. The specification table lists the item weight as 1 kg, while a customer describes the unit as small and light enough to fit in a shirt pocket — the sort of gap worth resolving before spending £499. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from our own testing.

“The media could not be loaded. Bought to use as a back up for my hunting buddies to tag along with me and I'm honestly shocked at how small and light weight this is it fit in my shirt pocket and feels well built definitely a nice little unit with good image quality and great value for the money so far I've used this brands other hunting items as well and so far I've been impressed with everything I've bought”

“The media could not be loaded. What an awesome little piece of equipment. Bought it simply to scan with for coyotes so I don't have to constantly swivel my gun, and I couldn't be more pleased. Super easy to use, super easy friendly. Even though it's technically a lower resolution at 256, it's still really pretty good! I own a lot of things from Goyojo, and their products are always top quality with great customer service. Get the monocular, you won't be disappointed. I attached a little video of my animals inside my house, and then I stepped out to show what it looks like outside. It may look a little blurry at first, and that's because I had to get it focused in. You can clearly see once I get it focused that it looked pretty dang good even at a distance! That hill side in the video is about 200 yards away from my house.”
